Dream Big. Dream Bigger.

I've been writing since I was a little girl. I always had a passion for telling stories. Its always been my dream of becoming a writer. I've spent years writing story after story or screenplay after screenplay and never truly getting anywhere with it. It's hard work unless you have an agent to represent you. It's been a long frustrating journey but I realized that if I want to live my dream than it's time to start making things happen.

You can't sit around and just expect that one day it'll happen. Reality is that it won't unless YOU make it happen. So many amazing things have happened recently and I want to give a shout out to my family, my friends and my fiancé Matthew. All of your love and support has motivated me to get my butt into gear. I know that no matter where life takes me that I'll always have you guys there for me.

Here is what led me to my decision of actually pushing myself to become a published author/ screenwriter. Don't worry I'll keep this short.

Film Festival: A very wonderful friend of mine started her very own Film Festival in Saratoga Springs, New York. She asked me if I'd be interested in helping out by reviewing independent local, national, and international films. HELL YEAH! One thing led to the next and I ended up being the staff writer and helping out with social media and marketing! It was a blast. I got to work with so many amazing and talented filmmakers, directors, writers, actors, etc. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love screenwriting. I collect screenplays from my favorite movies to study from. This was an amazing opportunity for me and inspired me to go for it! I know screenwriting is a hard and tedious career and almost near impossible to become successful in but it opened up amazing chances for me.

From there, I decided to enter my own screenplays into film festivals using FilmFreeway.com and Withoutabox.com. This was an amazing experience. My screenplay Disillusionment, which I have to admit still needs a lot of work, actually made it as a top 15, top 10, and top 4 finalist for a few contests and considered a winner in The World Series of Screenwriting 2016 contest. I still have a hard time believing that my FIRST screenplay ever made it as a finalist/ winner. It recently has been selected into The Windy City Film Festival too. Although, I'm not winning a lot of money for these festivals, I am gaining exposure. Its important to build up a fan base and get your name out there.

2017 is my year! I have amazing projects coming up this summer and fall. My second screenplay written called Unattainable is actually being made into a short film and being directed by an amazing friend of mine, Caitlin Stedman! She is so talented. She inspires me in so many ways. I am going to be involved in the casting and be there on set during the filmmaking stages of it. I am so freaking excited!! This is a great chance for me to learn all that I can! Casting is June 12th. I can't wait!

Also, I noticed that a lot of my friends have been into self publishing. After playing around with templates and features, I decided to give it a go. So expect to see a few things hitting Amazon.com this summer and fall! I am publishing a feature length screenplay and a collection of short stories & poems.

ALWAYS DREAM BIG THEN DREAM BIGGER!! GO OUT THERE AND MAKE YOUR DREAMS A REALITY!!! NEVER GIVE UP AND DON'T LET ANYONE STAND IN YOUR WAY!
